OnlyFans Agency Split Explained: Is 50/50 Fair?
Most OnlyFans agencies take a percentage of what you earn rather than charging a fee, and a 50/50 split is the industry standard. Whether that’s fair depends entirely on what the agency does for its half. This guide explains how agency splits work, what you should get in return, and how to judge a deal.
How agency splits work
An agency split is a revenue share: the agency takes an agreed percentage of the income it helps you generate, after the platform’s own fee. There’s no salary and usually no upfront cost. The agency only earns when you do, which aligns its incentives with yours.
Why 50/50 is common
A full-service agency carries real costs: editors, social media managers, a chat team working around the clock, and the time spent building your brand before income arrives. A 50/50 split pays for that work. Creators sometimes see lower percentages offered, but it’s worth checking what’s left out to make the number smaller.
What you should get for half
At a 50/50 split, you should expect the agency to carry most of the workload:
- branding and niche strategy
- editing your footage into finished content
- promotion across multiple social platforms
- subscriber messaging, pay-per-view and retention
- account-health monitoring and appeals
- clear, regular reporting
If an agency takes half but only posts occasionally or leaves the messaging to you, the split isn’t fair.
Terms that matter as much as the percentage
- Upfront fees: there shouldn’t be any.
- Contract length: a fixed multi-year term is a warning sign; you should be able to leave if it isn’t working.
- Ownership: your content and accounts should stay yours, with your own logins.
- Reporting: you should be able to see what the agency is doing and what it’s earning you.
A simple way to judge it
Ask yourself: would I earn more keeping 50% of what this agency helps me make, or 100% of what I could make alone with the hours I actually have? For most creators starting out, the answer comes down to whether they have the time and skills to do editing, multi-platform promotion and full-time messaging themselves.
